KDW Civil is currently looking for skilled operators to join our dynamic team. As a rapidly growing civil earthmoving company, we are in need of motivated individuals to support our expanding operations. We are currently recruiting for multiple operator positions, including a role for a Grader Operator.  

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

• Operate GPS machinery to ensure high quality job is delivered.
• Experience in excavators ranging from 14t up to 30t 
• Perform daily maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning 
• Communicate with supervisors and other team members, allowing project goals to be met 
• Conduct all activities in a safe manner, compliant with WHS policies and procedures

• Min. 3 years GPS and final trim experience 
• Valid driver’s licence and clean driving record
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively

Due to increased growth, KDW Civil is currently seeking a skilled and experienced Supervisor and Leading Hand for exciting and rewarding projects. These are both full-time position. 

Main Duties / Responsibilities 

• Oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications and safety standards. 
• Coordinate and manage site activities, including supervising subcontractors, labourers and machinery operators. 
• Conduct regular site inspections, provide technical guidance and ensure adherence to project specifications and industry regulations.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and timely completion.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including daily reports, progress reports and safety records.

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role with reputable contractor. 
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team of subcontractors and labourers.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

• Supervision of up to 20 employees
• Purchase Orders as per company policy
• Assisting in the management of service and repairs to plant and equipment
• Co-ordinating with customers and suppliers
• Carry out works as per job/project schedule
• Monitor and maintain job schedules.
• Ensure safe and competent operation of assigned plant to Company Standards on road networks and Civil Construction/Maintenance projects. 
• Adopt best practice in relation to road maintenance and construction activities.
• Adhere to and display a commitment to health & safety, environment and quality polices and procedures.
• Safety compliance ensuring works are being conducted in accordance with required SWMS
• Conduct WHS audits/inspections, hazard identification and risk assessments
• Conduct toolbox talks and daily prestarts
• Undertake regular maintenance checks on any assigned plant.
• Thorough knowledge in mobile plant capabilities and utilisation.
• Carry out a variety of manual tasks associated with Company operations.
• Actively participate in ongoing training and self-development to achieve continuous improvement for yourself and the Company. 
• Additionally, you may be required to conduct other duties as lawfully directed by the Manager.

Experience:

• 5 or more years’ experience in a similar position/industry (or equivalent)

Skills:

• Demonstrated knowledge of the National Vehicle Regulator regulations and requirements
• Taking reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and others, complying with reasonable instruction and co-operating with Company policy and procedure
• Ability to work as part of a team, actively encouraging others and recognising the role you play as part of the KDW Civil Team. Leadership skills

 Main Duties/Responsibilities: 

• Adopt best practice in relation to road maintenance and construction activities.
• Undertake regular maintenance checks on any assigned plant.
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicles, equipment and depot.
• Completion of relevant job paperwork including Daily Hire Dockets and/or Delivery Dockets.
• Carry out a variety of manual tasks associated with Company operations.
• Complete relevant safety and site-specific inductions.
• Adhere to company workplace health and safety guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Actively participate in ongoing training and self-development to achieve continuous improvement for yourself and the Company. 
• Additionally, you may be required to conduct other duties as lawfully directed by the Supervisor or Manager.

Desired Qualifications & Experience: 

• Minimum of current Queensland HR class Heavy Vehicle Driver’s License 
• Statement of Attainment or Ticket/s for various construction plant
• Construction Industry Induction Card
• First Aid Training (not essential but desirable)
• 2 or more years’ experience in a similar position/industry (or equivalent)

Skills:

• Demonstrated knowledge of the National Vehicle Regulator regulations and requirements
• Taking reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and others, complying with reasonable instruction and co-operating with Company policy and procedure
• Comply with required safety systems incorporating usage of Safe Work Method Statements
• Ability to work as part of a team, actively encouraging team working and recognising the role you play as part of the KDW Civil Team
• Ability to follow directions

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

• Quality assurance and Quality control
• Use of Procore Construction Management Platform
• Assist with contractual obligations including progress claims, payment schedules and reporting
• Contract management, including client and subcontractors
• Management of NCRs, RFIs, ITPs in conjunction with Project Engineer
• Liasing with customers, suppliers and other stakeholders.
• Adhere to and display a commitment to health & safety, environment and quality polices and procedures.
• Providing support to Project Engineer and Project Manager

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering
• First Aid/CPR
• Queensland C Class Open Driver’s Licence

Desired Experience:

• Degree qualified or up to 5 years experience as a Site Engineer
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Time management skills

We are looking to welcome a new Civil Pipe Layer to our ever growing business.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

• Laying pipe in open trenches as per designs
• Safe and competent operation of plant and equipment to Company Standards on road networks and civil construction/maintenance projects 
• Carry out a variety of manual tasks associated with Company operations
• Actively participate in ongoing training and self development

If you possess the following, we would love to hear from you:

• Minimum of current Queensland C class open Driver’s license
• Experience laying storm water pipes
• Ability to read plans
• Ability to work off pipe laser to grade
• Ability to work off RL levels
• Safety focus
• Team player
• Construction White Card
• Operator tickets an advantage
• First Aid Training (not essential but desirable)
• HR Licence an advantage
