You will be working on long term projects in the Bundaberg Region with the potential for travel between project sites.

PROJECT MANAGER

 

About the Role

You will be responsible for:

  1. Managing civil construction projects from award through to completion
  2. Leading project teams, subcontractors, suppliers and stakeholders
  3. Delivering projects safely, on time and within budget
  4. Managing project programs, resources and budgets
  5. Ensuring compliance with WHS, environmental and quality requirements
  6. Building strong client and stakeholder relationships
  7. Supporting and developing project personnel

What you’ll need to succeed

  1. Minimum 5 years' experience in a Project Manager or similar role within civil construction
  2. Proven experience managing civil construction projects from commencement through to completion
  3. Ability to think ahead, solve problems and make decisions
  4. A hands-on approach and willingness to lead from the front
  5. Current Queensland Driver Licence, White Card, First Aid & CPR

SITE SUPERVISOR

In this role, you will oversee and manage the civil construction operations on site, ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently and to the highest standard. Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations, ensuring compliance with project plans, specifications and safety standards. 
  • Coordinate and manage site activities, including supervising subcontractors, labourers and machinery operators. 
  • Conduct regular site inspections, provide technical guidance and ensure adherence to project specifications and industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution and timely completion.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including daily reports, progress reports and safety records.


If you possess the following, we would love to hear from you:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role with reputable contractor. 
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a diverse team of subcontractors and labourers.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A valid driver's license and relevant certifications in Civil construction and safety standards.

TRUCK & DOG DRIVER

TRUCK & DOG DRIVER

 Main Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Adopt best practice in relation to road maintenance and construction activities.
  • Undertake regular maintenance checks on any assigned plant.
  • Maintain cleanliness of vehicles, equipment and depot.
  • Completion of relevant job paperwork including Daily Hire Dockets and/or Delivery Dockets.
  • Carry out a variety of manual tasks associated with Company operations.
  • Complete relevant safety and site-specific inductions.
  • Adhere to company workplace health and safety guidelines, policies and procedures.
  • Actively participate in ongoing training and self-development to achieve continuous improvement for yourself and the Company. 
  • Additionally, you may be required to conduct other duties as lawfully directed by the Supervisor or Manager.


Desired Qualifications & Experience: 

  • Minimum of current Queensland HR class Heavy Vehicle Driver’s License 
  • Statement of Attainment or Ticket/s for various construction plant
  • Construction Industry Induction Card
  • First Aid Training (not essential but desirable)
  • 2 or more years’ experience in a similar position/industry (or equivalent)


Skills:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of the National Vehicle Regulator regulations and requirements
  • Taking reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and others, complying with reasonable instruction and co-operating with Company policy and procedure
  • Comply with required safety systems incorporating usage of Safe Work Method Statements
  • Ability to work as part of a team, actively encouraging team working and recognising the role you play as part of the KDW Civil Team

EXCAVATOR OPERATORS - FINAL TRIM

EXCAVATOR OPERATORS - FINAL TRIM

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Operate GPS machinery to ensure high quality job is delivered.
  • Experience in excavators ranging from 14t up to 30t 
  • Perform daily maintenance checks on equipment to ensure proper functioning 
  • Communicate with supervisors and other team members, allowing project goals to be met 
  • Conduct all activities in a safe manner, compliant with WHS policies and procedures 


If you possess the following, we would love to hear from you: 

  • Min. 3 years GPS and final trim experience 
  • Valid driver’s licence and clean driving record
  • Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic working environment

REGISTERED SURVEYOR

EXCAVATOR OPERATORS - FINAL TRIM

EXCAVATOR OPERATORS - FINAL TRIM

You Will Be Responsible For:

  • Conducting a range of general survey on construction for residential subdivisions;
  • Preparing and managing accurate survey plans, cadastral maps and legal descriptions for land parcels.
  • Collaborating with clients, government agencies and other stakeholders to deliver required project outcomes;
  • Ensuring all work is accurate and complies with legal and regulatory standards for registered surveying; and
  • Maintaining meticulous records and documentation of survey data and findings.


Desired Qualifications & Experience:

  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Surveyor, ideally in the construction industry
  • A bachelor degree in Surveying
  • Must be registered with the Surveyor's Board of QLD
  • Good interpersonal skills with the ability to ensure effective two-way communication when consulting and communicating with clients, external stakeholders, management and colleagues;
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously and within a team;
  • Proficiency in advanced surveying software and equipment to ensure precision and efficiency in civil surveying activities.
  • A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to project sites as needed.

  • Minimum of current Queensland C class open Driver’s license
  • Experience laying storm water pipes
  • Ability to read plans
  • Ability to work off pipe laser to grade
  • Ability to work off RL levels

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Purchase Orders as per company policy
  • Co-ordinating with customers and suppliers
  • Lead works as per job/project schedule 
  • Monitor and maintain job schedules 
  • Lead and display a commitment to health & safety, environment and quality policies and procedures.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and daily prestart
  • Carry out a variety of manual tasks associated with Company operations.
  • Additionally, you may be required to conduct other duties as lawfully directed by the Site Supervisor on Manager.


If you possess the following, we would love to hear from you:

  • Minimum of current Queensland C class open Driver’s license
  • License/s and or Ticket/s for plant and equipment that you will be operating 
  • Construction Industry Induction
  • First Aid Training (not essential but desirable)
  • Ability to lead a team, actively encouraging others and recognising the role you play as part of the KDW Civil Team
